What is it?


We're talking about fungal infection of the skin, which resembles worm in a ring shape. Hence it is also called ringworm infection. It spreads quite rapidly and can also be present on the whole body.



What are the signs and symptoms?

1. Red, itchy or scaly raised patches on the affected area.

2. Patches resemble a worm in the shape of a ring.

3. The area in the centre portion of the eruption starts clearing out.

4. Edges are well-defined and raised.

5. Itching can be moderate to intense.
